Wen-Tsong Shiue
Wen-Tsong Shiue received an M.S. degree (1991) in Electrical and Computer
Engineering from Western Michigan University and a Ph.D. degree (2000)
in Electrical Engineering from Arizona Sate University under the
supervision of Professor Chaitali Chakrabarti.
From 1991 to 1996, he worked at China Airlines in Taoyuan, Taiwan, R.O.C.,
where he was engaged in system and electronics design. He was also an
Adjunct Professor in Tamkang University, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C.,
teaching courses in logic design and electronics. From 1996 to 2000,
Dr. Shiue worked for Arizona State University where his research involved
the area of memory design and exploration for low power embedded systems,
low power design in high-level synthesis, and low power compiler design.
In May 1999, Dr. Shiue worked at Motorola Inc. in Austin TX, as a
Senior Staff Scientist, where his research involved the area of low
power scheduling and binding in high-level synthesis. In August 2000,
he became a Lead Software Scientist at Silicon Metrics Corporation in
the area of power analysis, accurate power estimation and optimization
in VLSI circuits, leakage power estimation and minimization in CMOS
Circuits, and EDA tools development.
Dr. Shiue has been invited to organize a session in the IEEE 6th
Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics, and Informatics, Orlando,
FL, July 2003. He is a member of the IEEE Circuit and Systems Society,
IEEE Computer Society, and Center for Low Power Electronics (CLPE).
Dr. Shiue was an Assistant
Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer
Sciences at Oregon State University from 2001 to 2004, and
he is now with Texas Instrument Corporation in Austing, Texas.
